Greenwich Historical Society

The Greenwich Historical Society preserves and interprets the history of our charming town through its nationally accredited museum, library, and archives in an effort to strengthen our community’s connection to the past, to each other, and to the future.

Built in 1730, the Bush-Holley House Museum was originally home to a prosperous Colonial merchant family before becoming the center of the trailblazing Cos Cob American Impressionist art colony. As part of the Greenwich Historical Society campus, the museum also features a cafe, library, archives, and gift shop.

Throughout the year, the Greenwich Historical Society also offers dynamic community programs for thousands of local school children and visitors, fostering meaningful connections to the area’s art, history, architecture, and landscapes.
